These are some photos from Confirmation in the parish. It was held outside in front of the grotto which was just completed a week earlier, the last days of November 09.
I did put up all these photos and a few words on the computer last week but before I got finished publishing the blog I got cut off and lost everything. So this is my second attempt.
We had 32 youngsters for Confirmation. The programme for Confirmation began in March and ran right up to the last week of November. The programme was two hours every Saturday morning. 50 started the programme and 32 finished it.
They are a lovely bunch of youngsters, friendly and sincere. They were committed to Mass every weekend and some helped out with reading at Mass. Like everywhere else in the world it is not always coooool for young people to be attending church.
In the years ahead it is hoped that they will come back to help us prepare other young people for the sacrament of Confirmation. Here Confirmation is given to those who are over 14 years of age. The celebration was held early on Saturday morning before the heat of the sun got too much for us, especially since it was outside. The religious sisters who work in the school helped prepare the youngsters for the sacrament and they received support and help from Fr. Frank Jones, myself and Miguel Angel who leads the music at all the masses in the parish. After Confirmation all the youngsters had their photos taken with us in the grotto. I include just two here. God bless you all, especially for your prayers and financial support to me.

Hope you enjoy the photos and account of the celebration of Confirmation here.
